Smartron t. phone P First Impressions Review: ticks All The right Boxes

Smartron came up with another smartphone to its.t.phone line-up and this time, the company has sought for the budget segment in the Indian market. One of the very few Indian smartphone manufacturers, Smartron launched the t. phone P recently with a price tag of Rs 7,999 as a Flipkart exclusive. A little different from all the other smartphones available in its price level, the t. phone P has a massive 5000 mAh battery, a metal body and a host of other features. Just how the salons of the device as a smartphone in general, let us know in this first impressions review.

What is Cool?

Smartron has taken care of the basic necessities in the manufacture of the t. phone P and surprisingly, they all tick the right boxes. The phone sports a full metal body, a feature rarely found in this price range. For this reason, and the massive battery, the t. phone P is large and weighs 160 grams. The phone comes near to achieving a premium feel with rounded edges, perfectly placed antenna bands on the back and a coating on the rear, which prevents any kind of fingerprints.

The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch HD capacitive screen with touch-sensitive buttons at the bottom and a prominent bezel at the top. The selfie camera is placed at the top of the bezel next to the earpiece. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the back, which is conveniently placed for the use, right at the top of the company’s brand image. The main camera and an LED flash are placed on the top of the antenna strip to the back. All in all, the t. phone P has a pretty design that will delight most users of smartphones.

The user INTERFACE that runs on the t. phone P is close to stock Android, based on Android 7.1 Nougat, and is surprisingly easy to use. Although it does not have the ‘oomph’ factor, such as the TouchWiz or the EMUNI, the base of Android users will love the simplicity of the whole experience of a simple layout, round icons and subdued colors.

The t. phone P is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 435 SoC, which makes it quite impressive when it comes to performance. Supported by 3 gb of RAM, the phone is easily able to manage the day to day tasks and can even perform when pushed beyond the average use of the phone.

The 32 gb of on-board storage is further expandable up to 128 gb on the smartphone. In the case where this is not sufficient, Smartron is also offering more than a 1000 GB of cloud storage for free to all purchasers of the t. phone P.

To come to the biggest USP of the t. phone P, the smartphone features a huge 5000 mAh battery, something that is unheard of at its price. We were able to get a day and a half of battery backup, some of which may even be able to extend to two days.

This is not so cool?

The cameras on the t. phone of P are exactly what you’d expect from a camera in this range. The 13-megapixel main camera comes with an LED flash while 5-megapixel selfie shooter comes with features such as smile capture and the embellishment of the mode. The images produced with these are just decent and not very detailed. In the case where you are a social media enthusiasts who would like to have the best photos for your use, the cameras of which fail to impress you.

Verdict

Smartron has managed to bring a smartphone in the budget segment, which has a unique set of usps in its price range. To sum up, the t. phone P is a robust phone which has a rigidity sufficient to withstand any kind of a very simple use of the user INTERFACE of the smartphone operations easier, enough storage options for any user and a massive 5000 mAh battery for enough of a decline for 2 consecutive days.
